Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our global project team. This internship provides hands-on experience in modern manufacturing technologies, with a focus on automation systems, process optimization, and advanced manufacturing techniques. The ideal candidate is passionate about innovation and eager to gain real-world experience on a global level and an Engineering Tomorrow mentality.

This is an onsite, year-round internship at our Turbocor Global Headquarters in Tallahassee, FL.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Assist in the design, testing, and implementation of manufacturing, testing and material Handling solutions.
Support the development and documentation of projects and standard procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, and quality assurance to improve manufacturing processes.
Collect, organize and analyze production data, to identify areas for improvement.
Help integrate new equipment, including robotic systems, PLCs, vision systems, and smart manufacturing tools.
Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving production issues.
Maintaining a clean, safe and orderly workplace.
Other related duties as assigned
Background & Skills

Required Qualifications

Senior Industrial / Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering or Computer Science Student or Equivalent Work experience
Basic knowledge about assembly manufacturing
Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., Creo, AutoCAD) and MS. Office Package
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Currently pursuing a PHDs or master's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field
Previous internship or project experience in manufacturing or automation setting.
Exposure to Industry 4.0 technologies, SCADA, MES, IoT or manufacturing, or smart factory principles.
