Job Description:
Integrated Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Surgical
Technologist for a travel job in Jacksonville, Florida. Job
Description & Requirements Specialty: Surgical Technologist
Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours
per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Schedule
Notes: There are two different shifts: 40 hours per week, 0645-1715
hrs.; on-call requirements 36 hours per week; 0645-1915 hrs.;
on-call requirements They must have open heart experience. Position
Overview: Attends the surgeon and surgical team peri-operatively to
provide for optimum peri-operative experience. Knowledge of
anatomy, instrumentation, patient safety and sterile technique.
Additional Experience: COMPETENCY: Otorhinolaryngology
General/Gynecology Neurology Orthopedics Cardiovascular JOB
KNOWLEDGE: Principles of aseptic technique; orientation of surgical
procedures; preparation, operation and care of equipment and
machines; understands patient and staff safety recommendations.
ADDL CONSIDERATIONS: Capable of rapid accurate reactions; concern
for quality patient care; communicates and works effectively with
various levels of personnel; stands and walks major portion of work
schedule; moderate to heavy lifting required; exposure to cuts,
burns, infection, biohazardous chemicals and x-ray
Licensure/Certification Required: Maintains Basic Life Support
(BLS) competency. Additional specialty certification/training as
required by the work area. Minimum Education: EDUCATION : Graduate
of an accredited and/or hospital approved Surgical Technician
program. Certification preferred. EXPERIENCE : Fulfilled through
the educational process and documented on a skill check list which
is kept current on each individual. QUALIFICATION/LICENSURE Work
Authorization : US Citizen Preferred years of experience : 2 years
