Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida is seeking a reliable, passionate Line Cook to support our dynamic food services program. This role includes preparing and serving high-quality meals for our food truck, catering events, and banquets, as well as assisting with on-site cooking classes and youth culinary programs. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, values teamwork, and is excited about contributing to a positive, youth-focused community environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and plate menu items for daily service, food truck operations, catering events, and banquets Assist with food truck setup, service, breakdown, and cleaning Support catering and special events, including off-site and on-site functions Follow standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation guidelines Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen in compliance with food safety regulations Assist chefs and instructors during on-site cooking classes and youth culinary programs as needed Help with basic food prep, inventory management, and stocking Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service Uphold the mission and values of the Boys & Girls Clubs in all interactions with staff, members, and guests Qualifications Previous experience as a line cook or in a professional kitchen preferred Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Ability to work evenings, weekends, and special events as needed Comfortable working in a youth-centered environment Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs Preferred Skills Experience with food trucks, catering, or banquet service Interest in mentoring or working alongside youth Flexibility and willingness to learn new cooking styles and service formats What We Offer Meaningful work that positively impacts youth and the community A supportive, team-oriented work environment Opportunities to assist with culinary education programs Competitive pay based on experience Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace.
