Job Description We are looking for an Application Architect to be
responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing,
maintaining, and supporting applications software that is delivered
on time and within budget. This position will be full-time and
onsite in Tallahassee, FL. What You'll Do Work closely with
customers, business analysts, and OIT team members to understand
business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality
technical solutions Align technical solutions with business and IT
strategies and comply with the Department’s architectural standards
Work involved in the full systems life cycle Responsible for
designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and
supporting applications software that is delivered on time and
within budget Make recommendations towards the development of new
code or the reuse of existing code Participating in component and
data architecture design, performance monitoring, product
evaluation, and buy vs. build recommendations Assist in systems
analysis and design, and have a solid understanding of development,
quality assurance, and integration methodologies What You'll Need
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information
Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience A
minimum of 2 years of programming/systems analysis experience
Experience working closely with customers, business analysts, and
team members to understand business requirements that drive the
analysis and design of quality technical solutions Experience in
aligning technical solutions with business and IT strategies and
complying with the Department’s architectural standards Experience
in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing,
coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting
applications software that is delivered on time and within budget
Experience making recommendations towards the development of new
code or reuse of existing code Experience participating in
component and data architecture design, performance monitoring,
product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations Experience in
systems analysis and design, and have a solid understanding of
development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies
Highly proficient in both spoken and written English Able to work
onsite in Tallahassee, Florida Preferred: Minimum of five years of
Java experience Physical Demands Ability to safely and successfully
perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and
other federal, state, and local standards Sedentary work that
involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with
occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a

position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on
several factors, including location, experience, and education.
