This is a year-round internship.Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:--- Create aerodynamics designs of centrifugal compressor--- Create air-solid models from compressor conceptual designs--- Carry out high fidelity computational fluid dynamics modeling of compressor design to predict the performance of the compressor design--- Compare the predicted results with test data from lab--- Carry out other tasks as directed by function manager--- Ability to work 30 hours/weekBackground & SkillsBACKGROUND & SKILLS--- A post-graduate student specialized in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, or Turbomachinery is preferred; outstanding undergraduate students will be considered--- Working knowledge of CAD packages--- Experience with MATLAB or Python is preferred--- Working knowledge of CFD/Structure software packages such as ANSYS, ANSYS CFX, or Fluent--- Excellent communication skills (with internal/external stakeholders)--- GPA of 3.5 or above--- Ability to begin work immediatelyAt Danfoss, we believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace fosters creativity, innovation, and a broader perspective in decision-making.
