Travel Sales LeaderThe Auto Club Group is seeking a prospective
Travel Sales Leader provides leadership and direction for travel
sales activities for designated branches, or team of virtual
agents, to drive sales, profit and deliver excellent customer
service to our Members/Clients. You will be challenged to drive new
business with competitive products and help retain The Auto Club
Groups 14+ million members.
- Supports and initiates policies, practices, procedures, and
controls ensuring ACG standards are met.
- Accountable for the achievement of budgeted travel growth
objectives and profitability.
- Analyzes data and developing and implementing sales and
marketing strategies while monitoring and evaluating sales efforts
for all product lines offered.
- Creates and actively seeks out opportunities to establish and
strengthen relationships to influence, promote and increase
awareness of travel products and services.
- Accountability for all budget, sales, revenue, membership, and
credit card results.
- Responsible for creating sales entrepreneurs utilizing a strong
foundation in proven selling skills and processes while maximizing
the business development opportunities that support overall Travel
Agency initiatives.
- Employ programs, tools, and processes to increase travel sales,
revenue, and profitability.
- Provides oversight and management in the in the development,
implementation, and maintenance of new and/or revised sales and
marketing plans that: meet member needs, build company revenue,
promote travel sales, and ensure meeting the corporate travel sales
objectives within assigned region.
- Seeks cross promotional sales opportunities and develops
business and communication plans for each assigned region.
- Conducts regular meetings with branch agents, or virtual team,
to discuss and/or implement travel sales and marketing
initiatives.
- May act as a company representative in the interaction with
travel suppliers and/or vendors.
- Required to attend sales/development/relationship-building and
HQ trips, primarily at domestic and potentially international
destinations.
- Responsible for all Human Resources administration for their
assigned team/area: hiring, coaching, disciplining, etc.
- Accountable for the on-boarding of new Travel Agents and
providing guidance and direction to agents in the ongoing
development of critical sales and service skills.
- Monitors and assesses agent performance through review, joint
sales work, and production reports.
- Develops action plans to address specific performance gaps and
assists the Travel Agent in implementation.
- Guides the agent through cross/up-selling to grow Membership,
Credit Cards and other ACG products. Completes are required
supervisory processes and procedures.What it's like to work for The

CANDIDATES WHORequired Qualifications:
- Must possess valid driver's licenseEducation
- High School Diploma or equivalentWork experience
- 3+ years as a selling travel agent
- Developing sales and/or marketing plans including annual
objectives, strategies, and programs for defined business
segments
- Developing and motivating a sales team to meet or exceed the
sales goals and objectives.
- Analyzing territories and/or sales markets and developing plans
to increase quality of existing business, cross selling products to
existing customers, getting current customer to rebook another
trip, and increasing market share by creating travel event
opportunities to increase revenue and sales
- Developing and supporting regional sales/marketing
initiatives
- Prior sales and marketing experience relative to travel
- Prior Travel Agent experience Successful candidates will
possess:Knowledge of:
- Must have demonstrated sales and marketing abilities.
- Knowledge of travel industry and standards
- Identify strengths and weaknesses and model skills needed to
facilitate corrective action in various areas including product
knowledge, prospecting, professionalism, closing techniques,
etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and develop others as a team for
success.
- Ability to identify trends and implement appropriate course of
action, acting as a change management agent.
- Interpret reports and utilize tools to increase Travel Agent'
performance.
- Translate corporate goals into individual work plans. Big
picture view.
- Strong MS Office skills for PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Superior public speaking and presentation skills
- Knowledge of travel region and potential market opportunities
Positive, motivating sales attitude.
- Ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple work
streams on an ongoing basis
- Ability to develop events, negotiate contracts, and manage
sales follow up to ensure a positive ROIPreferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Sales,
Travel, Liberal Arts or related field preferred.
- Certified Travel Counselor (CTIE) designation preferred.
- Prior management experienceWork Environment
- This is a hybrid position that works primarily in a home
environment. Varying amounts of travel with occasional extended or
overnight stays and out-of-state/country travel required.
- This is subject to change based on amendments and/or
modifications to the ACG Flex Work policy.
- Travel required with exposure to road hazards and temperature
extremes, including some overnight travel
