Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Human Resources Manager
to lead our HR function within the Ship Repair business area in
Jacksonville, Florida.As part of a centralized HR organization
across multiple regions, the Human Resources Manager will be the
trusted, humble, and influential leader within all facets of HR for
the defined client group within the Jacksonville Ship Repair (JSR)
site. This role is responsible for partnering to shape business
decisions through an HR lens to ensure proper consideration of
strategic and tactical people implications. Provide leadership and
oversight involving proactive and reactive employee relations
support, manager coaching, business growth or business right sizing
requirements while creating and shaping a culture that is diverse,
equitable, and engaging for an inclusive and respectful work
environment. A well-prepared candidate should have experience
effectively leading and influencing within all job levels of the
workforce. Further experience, implementing Human Resources
policies, partnering with business operations to ensure
understanding of business needs and objectives and resolve all HR
related issues.Key HR related areas include organizational design,
succession planning, talent management, talent acquisition,
employee relations, labor relations, compensation, benefits, EEO,
and/or training and development. The HR Manager will be responsible
for driving leaders to identify top talent and succession
candidates while supporting the succession planning process at the
business site level. Partner to ensure success by reviewing and
analyzing HR metrics to monitor performance and identify actionable
trends. Work with dotted-line client group and straight-line HR
business area leadership to support an effective workforce
plan/strategy and collaborate with talent acquisition to translate
the requirements into an executable plan. Provide HR guidance,
coaching and strategy to JSR management in the delivery of programs
such as annual salary planning, incentive compensation nominations,
performance development, etc. Responsible to drive accountability
of ethical behavior and instill a culture of Safety, Health &
Environmental throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with the Centers of Expertise (COEs) and all
elements of the HR delivery model to ensure the delivery of world
class HR services and programs are addressing critical business
needs in a timely and efficient manner.
- Partner with assigned managers to identify top talent and
succession candidates and provide support to the Management
Readiness Review planning process at the business unit level.
- Promote business activities that support a culture that is
diverse, equitable and inclusive.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop an effective workforce
plan/strategy and collaborate with talent acquisition to translate
the requirements into an executable plan.
- Act as a change agent for key HR and business changes and
provide project management for assigned key HR projects.
- Effectively communicate client group activities while
harmonizing policies and workflows within other business area sites
for centralized alignment.
- Understanding the overall business, people, and mission needs
while exhibiting an entrepreneur mindset for creating a
best-in-class HR team and workforce.
- Showcase empathy, humility, and fairness while establishing
discernment and sound decision-making skills within an HR
management role. Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Typically requires a Bachelors degree and ten (10) years
experience in HR, with five (5) in an HR Leadership role;
- Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying
with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable
state and federal laws and regulations;
- Able to provide solid counsel and influence as a site senior
leader for the HR function;
- Should possess strong decision-making skills using sound
judgment;
- Strong and influential communication skills, verbal and
written;
- Highly effective employee relations investigations skills;
- Experience addressing and resolving federal and state
employment issues, including EEO/AAP;
- Agile and responsive in a fast paced, quick changing
environment;
- Working experience within a skilled trades environment;
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint);
- Ability to support on-site. Willing to engage the workforce (be
seen) outside of the HR Manager office.
- Effective leading and developing HR business partners for
collaborative and celebrated team successes. Preferred Education,
Experience, & Skills
- SPHR/SHRM-SCP Certified, preferred.
- Experience working within shared services HR delivery
model;
- Project management capability;
- HR Training experience
- Experience with PeopleSoft, preferred.
- Proficiency in HR data analytics.Pay InformationFull-Time
Salary Range: $112800 - $191800Please note: This range is based on
our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are
determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to:
business considerations, local market conditions, and internal
equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills,
